Seeker of Wisdom
The wisest man advices us to get wisdom, get insight, to walk with the wise, and to buy wisdom. So I am memorizing 1000 proverbs, wisdom books and poetry. I love the book, “As a Man Thinketh,” especially the last chapter, Serenity.
A Poetic River
Poetry is the inexpressible wisdom of life expressed as metaphor in few words. Emily Dickinson, who wrote for the world but did not send them into the world speaks to my heart. Ghalib, King David, and Pascal enthral me.
My Bike is My Stallion
Cycling frees me from the confines, flying like a bird in the recesses of my heart into the heart of the universe. All the worries of the world dissipate like ice in the desert.
Renaissance of Books
I overflow with books, but few are retained in my heart. I am a curious person and when I have a question, I buy the books that may be able to give me some insight, exploring the polar extremes of thought.
Collector of Ancient Bibles
I wanted to buy the first book ever printed, the Gutenberg Bible, printed in 1456, but they are unavailable. I settled for Tyndale’s 1536 Bible and two copies of the 1611 King James Bible.
